Brides across America are feeling the pinch of the economy on their wedding planning dollars. National statistics, published by The Wedding Report, show that wedding budgets have decreased significantly since the economy became a mainstream concern. Brides in Oregon, however, have a way to combat the financial pressure of planning a wedding in today’s economy.
A group of industry wedding professionals, including wedding planners, caterers, site owners, photographers, florists, and many other bridal service providers are gathering to share their knowledge with local brides.
The goal is to provide brides the tools they need and the knowledge of how to spend their dollars wisely in the current wedding marketplace. “There are tips and tricks, secrets that get the bride what she really wants at a lower price point, and certain questions brides should be asking,” says Christina Safford of Muse, the event organizer. “We want to share those as a service to the bride. We are all in this together,” added Safford.
There are two events currently scheduled in February of 2010.
Sat, Feb 20th from 8am-6pm at the Salem Conference Center in Salem, Oregon
Sat, Feb 27, 2010 from 8am-6pm at the Courtyard Marriott City Center in Portland, Oregon
The cost is set so that brides can afford to go at $15. The organizers point out that you can sign up with a friend for $5 off each ticket (for a total of $20 for two people).
